Into the Gate
A downloadable Early Demo for Windows

This past month was focused mostly on bug fixing. We managed to resolve 38 out of 86 bugs. Nearly all critical and high-priority issues were addressed. Below is the full list of fixes for V0.1.2:

  • Niko dialogue bug: quest could not be completed

  • Bridge collider: player could not cross the bridge

  • Cave teleport: an area that should not be accessible had a visible teleport

  • Dialogue windows overlaying main menu: UI layering issues could cause a soft lock

  • Hover description UI stuck: tooltip followed the mouse indefinitely

  • Player stats too small: text hard to read due to size or color

  • Unintentional loading of test save data

  • Spelling corrections: various terms adjusted

  • Quick-bar default state changed: now unlocks correctly when starting a new game

  • Cast markers too large: player overshot maximum cast range

  • Multiple grammar corrections

  • Fog of War reset on same-scene teleport/buildings: revealed mini-map areas were lost

  • Skill Tree: added progress markers showing how much is required to unlock skills

  • Skill Tree: level-up skill visibility bug fixed

  • Main menu UI scaling: did not fit ultra-wide screens

  • Equipment UI slot description unreadable

  • Warp markers added to mini-map

  • Multiple highlight issues fixed: dialogue, market, creature names, and item names improved for clarity

  • Slow movement on lower-end PCs: removed frame-rate dependency

  • Pathing and movement issues: character shaking and jump rubber-banding resolved

  • Money pickup treated as an item: corrected

  • Standing-death bug: caused incorrect respawn position

  • Improved clarity on uneven terrain and jump areas

  • Adjusted skill requirements: minor balance tweaks

  • Dialogue system updated and rebuilt: multiple dialogue box issues resolved

  • Improved dialogue exit options: reduced repeated text
