Hey everyone,
it’s time for another big update — and this one brings a lot of new features and improvements to the game. Development has been moving fast, and the core gameplay is starting to take shape.
Here’s what has been added since the last devlog:
Players can now choose the map directly in the lobby before starting a match.
This is the first step toward supporting multiple maps in the future.
A fully functional loading screen has been implemented to improve the transition between lobby and gameplay scenes.
You can now configure your graphics and audio inside the game settings.
Resolution, fullscreen, volume sliders — everything is there.
The first set of weapons is now available in-game.
Each weapon has its own stats, behavior, and feel.
Weapons now have dedicated shooting and reloading sound effects, greatly improving the overall feedback and immersion.
Zombies have received new animations, including:
attack animations
improved movement
updated death animations
This makes combat feel much more dynamic and alive.
The first playable map is now fully integrated into the game.
This map will be featured in the upcoming public beta playtest.
Since I’m a solo developer creating this project as a hobby, I sometimes rely on generated content when needed.
All gameplay code is written by myself, though I occasionally use AI assistance to solve difficult bugs more quickly or to get support when something is missing.
I also make use of purchased assets, especially for world-building and map creation — these help speed up development and allow me to focus on the gameplay experience.
More features are coming soon — including weapon interactions, improved AI, and early enemy balancing.
Thanks for following the development!
