#post jam
Now that the ScreamJam is well over, I had some time to take a break from the game and come back to fix the things I either didn't have time for or never liked, as well as fix up some stuff that didn't work.
Changes include:
1. The ending illustration has been redone. I noticed a couple of people had misinterpreted the hand at the end as something else entirely, and while I do deeply value personal interpretation, I felt as though I had failed to communicate the point effectively through the original art. It should be clearer now what is going on.
2. The finale input has been completely redone. You no longer need to input any of the evidence titles. It's been completely converted into buttons. I had originally wanted it to be a drop-down menu, but I wasn't able to figure out how to populate the list as the game went on, so originally I settled for the text-parser, but this lead to a lot of unnecessary frustration with players.
3. The phone is no longer case sensitive. Dialogic originally comes with a sort of semi-useful text-parser that's meant for character's names and other minor additions. It's not supposed to be used for searchable terms, which is what I had done to save time for the phone dialogue. It is now a completely original text-parser and allows for more variants of terms.
4. The UI has been updated. I made some simple panel illustrations for the game so they don't look so geometric and out of place.
5. MISC. I added in some fluff search results, such as looking into the bridges Yvonne mentioned, and a few other small details. I added in a printer SFX when acquiring evidence for the first time. I made it clear in the warnings that the game doesn't include any illustrations of gore. I fixed the sound sliders not saving their place when closing the options menu, and a few other bugs.
Version 2.2 will still be available for download, but the web version will be converted to V 3.0
