Hey everyone! 👋

We’re excited to share a new update for Glowy, featuring several visual improvements, new functionalities, and enhancements to our level creation workflow. Here’s everything that’s new!

Reskin and New Animations

We refined and improved the visual feedback of several in-game elements:

  • Added animations for the player, prism and mirrors.
  • Reskinned almost all items.

New Tilemap System

One of the most significant additions is the introduction of a tilemap system for creating levels. Level creation is now faster and more flexible. We can modify, expand, or prototype new areas more easily. This will help us build new content in a more organized and maintainable way.

Menu

  • The pause menu has been completely redesigned with a cleaner, more modern layout.
  • We added the first iteration of the audio settings menu, which currently allows you to adjust the volume.

Additional settings are visible, but currently disabled, shown in grey as a preview of upcoming features.

Conclusion

This update improves animations, interfaces, and map-creation tools, laying the foundation for future content that we can now develop more efficiently.
