New Halfshot: A Short Guide

Six prisoners on an island, deep in a cave, surrounded by stagnant water, all waiting for goblins to eat them. But one of them has money, so the PCs must rescue him (or hang, in the Pit of Justice).

The cave lies twenty miles away. Nobody knows where, except a single goblin, captured and taken prisoner.

The new night guards - the player characters - must take the goblin home, and keep him happy.

• Goblins require two hours of sleep, four times a day (and they’re awake and active most of the night).
• Goblins eat three times as much as humans (or they become so famished they will eat their own fingers).
• Goblins love to sing (which attracts wandering monsters).

The Almanac

Pre-rolled monsters, ready to wander, are provided by the Almanac.

Spell Books

A Short Guide comes with random player characters, just like the others. But unlike the others, these player characters can cast spells.

After the example characters, you’ll find spell books for each one with magical ability. The spell books are minizines, with extra room to pick up more spells.
