Version 0.4.0 has a black hole
Hello to all who are still counting or are about to count to infinity.
As I already said, this was starting as a very small prototype. Just to learn how to use LÖVE2D as a game engine for game jams.
But I had a lot of feedback and also a good amount of people who bought the game, even if it is free to download. This was such a great feeling and that was the reason i put more energy to this tiny project :)
With 0.4.0 I added a lot more quality of life but also new gameplay elements. Let me show you:
Features:
- A game timer that counts the time you played the game
- Added a lot more number units to present all kinds of numbers till a Googol
- You can now upgrade the buy buttons to increase the updates value of them
- counter control - you can only buy new counters when the last loops at least one time
- New mouse cursor for extra fun - took me a long time
- Particle FX for the updated counters, intensity increases each level
- Added 5 more background images
- Added 4 more chilling music tracks
Bugfixes
- New balancing of costs for upgrades, but still space for improvements I think
- Zooming, Panning and resetting
- zoom has now much more levels so you can overview all 100 counters if you could reach that amount
- panning is now mich smoother and jittering at higher amounts of counters are fixed
- Tooltips now showing up even on disabled buttons
- Tooltips also have now the correct z-index :)
