Mimosa and the Clocktower [OLD]
A downloadable Mimogame

So. I haven’t talked much about Mimosa and the Clocktower’s development since September. Despite having restarted development on it at the beginning of 2025, work on the game has slowed down somewhat, due to having gone on vacation in Europe, alongside having to participate in Art Fight back in July.

However, due to multiple factors (prolonged procrastination, dissatisfaction with the plot and concepts, over-ambitiousness, constantly working on smaller things over the main aspects of the game, relying too much on gamedev tutorials, etc.), I have decided to not only restart the game’s development once again, but also overhaul its plot. This doesn’t mean I am getting rid of Mimosa as a character since I know folks out here love him and it’d be a terrible idea to just drop him for no reason, but after having worked on the game for a while, I began to realize Alphabett works best as the game’s leading protagonist (after all, the game is themed around nursery rhymes) instead of the baby dragon himself.

Going forward, the game is now being reworked into Gran Krono, with Alphabett being the main protagonist. Currently, I’m focusing on overhauling the plot outline, then come up with new concepts, and hopefully start development on the new game. It was a very difficult decision to make, but I hope this will help me keep working on the world of Timesea in the years to come.

Thank you everyone for keeping up with Mimogame in the past three years. Despite all the trouble surrounding its development, the support really means a lot to me and I’m grateful for that.
