Snackrifice: Dev Log 11-5

The urge to polish and nitpick everything for this game is very real. I pride myself on delivering solid, quality projects, but game jams always trip me up. I’ve redone the level design at least five times because I wasn’t happy with the layout, and I have to resist the temptation of a sixth redo because the deadline is looming.

I’m so excited to see what everyone thinks of the game. I truly hope it brings a smile to your face. I think my favorite part so far is the clouds, they look like delicious cotton candy!

My biggest frustration so far has been the blueprinting side. It’s not my strong suit. I definitely enjoy level design much more than setting up characters or NPCs. Despite the challenges, everything is coming together beautifully. I think I’ve used six or seven asset packs from CraftPix at this point. I’m trying to limit myself or I’ll never finish.

It’s shaping up really nicely, at least I think so.

Happy Whimsical Wednesday
