This update aims to make the game slightly more challenging.
The monster was too easy to evade, even during the last candles. To address this, I decided to reduce the player’s speed (which will also slightly increase the overall game duration). Furthermore , the monster was not very present during the first candles, so I reduced its rest time to increase the likelihood of the player encountering it earlier in the game.
Player speed:
Walk: 4.5 → 4.3
Run: 8.5 → 8
Time when the monster is not present (resting phase):
1 candle: 9–18 → 9–13.5 seconds
2 candles: 8–16 → 8–12 seconds
...
7 candles: 3–6 → 3–4.5 seconds
Don't forget that on hard mode, the monster's rest time is always halved!
