Because this is our first blog post and it covers three weeks of actual development and YouTube videos, this particular post may be a bit longer than the others may.
Misguided is a 2D Platformer that is highly story driven and a whacky adventure that follows our character who fell down a whole into a cave underground.
The player’s task is to get out of this cavern while being driven to do the wrong things by the narrator. Kind of similar to a Stanley Parable.
To start this off, here is the concept of our first scene. The pedestal that the player will fall onto during the start of the game.

During the first week of development, we created our main character. We brought in a reference image into Photoshop, and through together what we thought would be a good character for our game. He has no name as of right now. There is. Decked out in his medieval clothing; or so we tried.
Then we rigged him up with bones, using Unities new 2D Rigging system.
That process was interesting and a bit time consuming.

During week two, we started working on our Dialog System.

During week three we set up our item pickup system. Things are coming along.
