Year three, day ten.
A Halloween update — and I didn’t even plan this!
REC/REW-ReWRITE reaches v0.1.2, adding two more days to the story: the funeral of the main character’s best friend, and a phone call from her mother almost one month later - the spark kicking off the main arc.
Roughly 4,000 new words (10–20 minutes reading).
Current goal was, answering the question: can I stick to a 1/2 updates-per-month schedule?
however v.01.2 is telling me: likely. Further test needed to turn it into a full-fledged "yes."
So I'm sticking to the “load more upfront” option for now.
Tell me if you see a difference.
It should exist. Now it does.
And the Linux build was removed. Never tested it - felt like flirting with a landmine.
Still there. Still unconsequential.
Nothing crashes. Desktop build doesn't care.
Investigation ongoing.
Will be switching hats tomorrow. Picking the one that reads, "Project architect".
The truth is in the numbers:
Demo: some 40k words
Legacy version: 400k words
ReWRITE (under development): over 500k words
Total raw written material (notes, drafts, later arcs): unknown. Likely around 1M words
So - yeah, this project is huge. Don't say I hadn't warned you.
It's a cathedral - and I need proper scaffolding before the script crumbles over me.
Time for Git, proper documentation, written procedures, valut discipline.
And the engineer in me is crying rainbows.
Keep following - bear patience - I will be around.
