The first thing I had to do was implement the character into Adobe Animate, which was something I only had a little bit of experience with before. While there were some complications, I did manage to eventually create both an idle and running animation that I was happy with. The biggest challenge was getting the "running" motion to look like it was actually running and not skipping. To solve that, I not only quickened the animation but also moved keyframes around to points in the animation that made the run feel continuous. Fixing these looping issues was definitely one of the biggest challenges of animating characters in general.
After this, I put both the idle and running animations in Godot. Like with Adobe Animate, I had little experience with implementing animations into Godot and this was a welcome challenge that turned out well.
