Finally! After a lot of extra things being done in the middle, and more content than expected, it's finally here!

Update 13 continues right where Update 12 stopped. It was quite a cliffhanger! Many events follow and, after that, we have a kind of different side of things as we move on. I won't say much about it all here to avoid spoilers. Go and play to see it all! At any rate, Update 13 ends right at the hook of what Updates 14 and 15 will focus on. Big events coming!

I mentioned it in a few places, but we're reaching a point in the story where truths are coming out and a few kinda-sorta climaxes are inevitable. The chill times will be fewer now that things are picking up, at least until everything is resolved. Truths, events, and the Dawn Tournament are all approaching at the same time, and Resnick will have to find a way to deal with it all.

• Around 15k words of new story content
• A new original background for the abandoned alley where the events of Update 12 happened and Update 13 continues. You should see it change, and hopefully it'll still work with save files without a problem!
• And three more original backgrounds added retroactively to the game as well! They are:
  • Resnick and Edwin's bedroom
  • The tavern backroom (Seen on Edwin's side of the spare day earlier in the game)
  • Watch house prison cell (Seen in the crossover content between Shelter and Demons Within)
• The fan art displayed at the credits is now randomized in order
• Further small improvements to the brand new, nicer-looking Essence Wheel that you'll see through the game
• A few new sprite variations for Gunther and the Black Wolf unlocked in the Memorium after seeing them in-game

I'm very happy to be able to say once again that this update already comes with full Chinese support. Huge thanks to Heyeah and his team for providing the Chinese translation very quickly from the beta version so that all players from China can enjoy the release right as it comes as well! 

Another great thing is the new backgrounds! I hope you'll like to see them in-game. We're finally working to replace the placeholder backgrounds we had so far and, though that will take a lot of time and work, it's in the way! In the new backgrounds, we are able to place so many small details and cool things that weren't possible before. You should see a lot of that, especially in Edwin and Resnick's bedroom, but also in all of the others. HUGE thanks to TeoLeif, the new addition to the Demons Within team as a background artist! He's doing a fantastic work on those! Super duper special thanks to Vigil as well, without which none of it would have happened so soon! 

Another thing worth mentioning is that, if by any chance you haven't seen it yet, the collaboration content with Shelter is present in this update and slated to continue soon! The next update in the crossover is coming as a new chapter on Shelter's side very soon!
