🛠️ Machine Shadows 2.1.5
This update continues refining the new lighting and rendering systems, bringing more depth, polish, and visual clarity to Kaipa Bots.
It also adds a few small but helpful UI improvements, sound tweaks, and stability fixes to keep things running smooth.
🌑 Shadows and Style
Machines now cast proper shadows, bringing more definition and atmosphere to your asteroid bases.
Item icons also received a uniform black outline, helping them pop against different backgrounds, and several item images were updated to fit this new clean look.
🧭 User Interface Improvements
Two small but requested changes make everyday management safer and smoother:
🔊 Sound Polish
The Blade Bot’s attack and hit sounds have been reworked to be less harsh and more balanced, blending better with the rest of the game’s soundscape.
👾 Mob Spawning Logic
Darkness is still dangerous, but a bit more predictable now.
Mobs will no longer spawn too close to Machines or Conveyors, even in dark areas. This gives you a little more breathing room around built structures while still keeping unexplored areas risky.
🧩 Fixes and Stability
A round of fixes ensures older saves and technical systems stay robust:
🧪 Debug Tools
Developers and testers rejoice, there’s now a built-in Profiler!
Press F2 and F3 to open, close, and navigate through profiling data while the game runs.
🚀 What’s Next
Next up: quality-of-life improvements for building and visibility, including laser attack range and light radius previews, so you can plan your defenses and illumination precisely.
These smaller updates will focus on making Kaipa Bots feel smoother, more readable, and easier to play without breaking the survival challenge.
