This is a workbench.  Press E with aiming to workbench for interacting.

This is a chest.  Press E with aiming to chest for interacting.

When you started crafting, the queue will be stared and you can see the queue at bottom-right queue boxes.

This is the queue in your inventory.

This is the queue in workbench.

In inventory, when the crafting queue ended the items will be added in your inventory automatically.

But the workbench does not add the items in your inventory. You must click the icon of Completed Crafting Queue then the items will be added in your inventory.

Each type of workbench has its own recipe. For example, a weapon workbench can craft a gun. (Weapon workbench is just in planning with weapons.)

These are chests. Each chest has its own single inventory. You can move item into a box.
