Effects & Boomerang Balance (Build 0.6.5)

Hey everyone! 👋

This update focuses on visual polish and improving how the game feels in motion.

💨 Improved FX

  • Enhanced poof animations with extra particles for a more satisfying burst when jumping, landing, or triggering effects.
  • Added coin sparkles — each coin now releases a few bright shimmer particles when collected for that extra shine.

🌀 Boomerang Balance

  • The boomerang now properly keeps pace with the player’s movement, making throws feel much more natural in motion.
    • Previously, if you threw the boomerang while running, it would still travel the same fixed distance as when standing still — which made it look like it was slowing down or cutting short mid-air, especially while sprinting forward.
    • The throw system now factors in the player’s momentum, dynamically extending the flight path based on movement speed.
  • We’ve also refined the impact feedback — collisions now happen closer to the point of contact for added realism, and the boomerang’s hit sound has been updated to a more satisfying clack paired with bright sparks.
  • The result is a boomerang that feels smoother, more responsive, and physically consistent — arcing naturally with your motion and returning seamlessly.

🎮 Small Changes, Big Feel

These tweaks might seem subtle, but they add up to a much more lively and responsive experience — every jump, coin, and throw has more personality and weight.

Thanks to everyone following along and testing builds — more polish and features are on the way! 🚀
