WEEK 3: Prototyping - Noah

YOUR TURN TO BEAT
A browser game made in HTML5

For this week's prototyping I wanted to get down a very simple battle system down pat, which has the player fighting an enemy. Both the enemy and the player will take turns to attack each other and before one of them dies. This was to create a template/to establish a system that I can then integrate the rhythm game systems from my previous system. This prototype will be very simple for the sole purpose of establishing the system, however using this basic system I would be able to pose questions to the play testers about these systems and how they mesh. The questions I will ask this week are: Do you think each attack should have a unique arrow pattern or a random arrow pattern? How should different attacks be balanced, should they be longer or trickier patterns or both? How else should we spice the combat outside of the combat (roguelite elements, explorable locations, shops, more stuff like this)?

Hopefully these questions I will be able to discern valuable info to use to take the game in the correct direction.
