Spooky season has begun, so we’re taking a look back at the summer. Or in business terms, Q3 metrics are driving strategy shifts in Q4, we need to drill down on our singular focus going forwa- cough -sorry, something in my throat.
Long story short, Michelle and I are proud of what we got done, and we’re continuing to work on The Machine for the rest of the year. We’ll revisit that plan every quarter, and share an update with you here. Also- new public build!
The biggest change we’re making is completely halting all 2D development. I’m struggling to realise my vision of a tactile and diegetic game using 2D, so I’ll be taking a step back and learning Blender. I’ve always preferred systematic and stateful creation like photoshop, over analogue mediums like paint, so I’m giving 3D one last college try 🤞 That also means Michelle can step back from creating 2D art, and focus solely on the music and sound design.
I’ve uploaded our final 2D build for folk to mess around with, and I will see you in the third dimension!
