This time, I’d like to introduce the combat system in our upcoming title, Rebel Infernal Path.
Combat features a party of 4 player characters plus 4 summoned monsters. Players select 4 classes from the 10 introduced previously to form their team. Summoned monsters are unique to each stage and can be called forth via summoning circles placed throughout the map.
Compared to player characters, summoned monsters have several limitations:
In Rebel Infernal Path, managing summoned monsters carefully and preventing their deaths is key to progressing through the game.
Combat in Rebel Infernal Path incorporates a range system, allowing for tactical positioning and movement. Players can launch ranged or magical attacks safely from the back lines, and reposition characters during battle. However, enemies can close the distance—bringing rear-line members into range of physical attacks if you're not careful.
To support this dynamic, players can choose from 15 unique battle formations. These formations include setups optimized for ranged attacks, magic usage, defensive strategies, and even formations tailored to specific classes like Thieves or Ninjas. Selecting the right formation for each encounter is key to surviving and gaining the upper hand in combat.
