Hey everyone! 👋
BitJump just got a brand-new stage — World 2 Level 2: “I See Ice” — a chilly new addition that brings frozen terrain, dynamic snowfall, and some sneaky new platforming challenges.
“I See Ice” takes players into a frozen landscape where snowflakes drift from the sky, the ground is slick with ice, and enemies are waiting to send you sliding into danger.
It’s a big step up in environmental design — combining visual atmosphere with mechanical changes that make movement feel fresh and unpredictable.
Key highlights:
🌨️ Falling Snowflakes — gentle ambient particles create a sense of motion and depth.
🧊 Slippery Ice Physics — precision jumps become trickier as your footing slides.
😮 Platforming Difficulty – you will notice that certain parts of this stage require precise platforming.
🎶 Catchy New Music – a new song to fit the snowy stage.
👾 Ceiling Faller Enemies — a returning threat makes its debut in a new frozen setting.
🎥 Rail Path Camera — now fully implemented! The camera follows a preset track, creating cinematic movement and specific pacing through the stage.
You may have noticed a visual change to the look of World 2 on the level select screen!
The region now includes snow-covered landscapes, spruce trees, and icicles, helping the map feel more alive and tied to the new frozen levels. This visual update brings more personality to the level select map and prepares you for the theme of the level.
This update also marks the first real-world test of the rail-path camera system introduced in an earlier version.
The camera now dynamically locks to a guided path while keeping the player comfortably in frame, helping levels feel more cinematic and carefully paced — especially in vertical or scenic areas like this one.
“I See Ice” is one of the most atmospheric stages so far, setting the tone for future themed worlds that feel both unique and cohesive within BitJump’s retro universe.
If you’ve been waiting to see snow fall in BitJump — this is the one to try. ☃️
More frosty updates coming soon!
