Inventory UI Update, plus Drag & Drop.

Hungry For Loot
A browser game made in HTML5

Based on feedback, we have updated the inventory UI.

By popular request, we have finally implemented support for drag & drop. This is in addition to the existing method of moving items (click once on item to select it, and then on the slot where you want to place it). When dragging, you can drop an item onto a Slime tab to move it to an empty slot in that Slime’s bag, changing tabs if different from the currently selected one. You can also drag to any open space within a bag to move it to an empty slot. Right clicking on an item in a bag will also quick move it to the other visible bag.

The UI has been rearranged. Based on comments, it seems that the filter system is not being used much. Having so many items, we designed the inventory intending for the filters to be used to better manage them. Filtering by level is especially useful while the store has not yet been implemented. With it being behind a popup and needing extra button presses, it was a bit unwieldily. We have now changed the left side to only show the currently selected Slime’s belt, instead of all the Slimes. The top left now holds a tab bar which includes the filters. The filter screen itself has also been overhauled. Most prominent is that the filters are now applied immediately as you select them, rather than requiring the press of another button. They also remain in effect between battles, rather than showing all items when next opened. Should you want to swap items among the Slimes’ belts, there is a tab to show them all.
