Microlandia v0.6 - Now with school system

In this new release, Microlandia steps closer to reality. Cities breathe, factories hum, and your citizens live and die by the logic of infrastructure and chance. The update brings depth to health, justice, education, and visual richness.

🏫 Education and Fertility

• A new School building enters the city, with capacity limits, costs, and newspaper stories about new openings and overcrowding crises.
• Students graduate, citizens reproduce, and children grow up within the simulation. Fertility has a lineage now, with tracked mothers and newborns.
• Families that have children will leave the city if there's no school capacity

🎨 Visual Upgrades

• New graphics settings for shadows, tilt-shift, and anti-aliasing — your city can now be as grimy or as cinematic as you desire.

💀 Health and Law

• Disease is no longer abstract. The city now simulates sickness: if hospitals overflow, people suffer, sometimes fatally.
• Hospital capacity now depends on the average stay length, not an arbitrary number.
• Police stations fight crime at human speed, managing between 3 and 4 incidents per day. Staffing scales with floors, eight officers per level. Crime is not infinite, but your bureaucracy might be.

🧮 Taxes and Professions

• The tax system has been rebuilt. Corporate taxes are now calculated separate from sales tax, as corporate income.
• Citizens now choose professions with logic tied to their education and degrees. Some citizens will not attain degrees based on a data obtained from 2021 American Community Survey.
• Corporate buildings will only hire citizens with a bachelor's degree. Factories and farmer's markets are the only source of jobs (for now) for the broad population.

🏗️ Industry and Architecture

• A new 3D factory model replaces the old placeholder, bringing weight and scale to your industrial zones.
• Corporate buildings gain new textures and materials

🌳 Urban Stats and Life Quality

• Park score and school capacity rate appear in city population stats, revealing the hidden equilibrium between leisure and learning.
• Cost of living now bites realistically. Only citizens with means contribute to expenses; the poor no longer pay for what they cannot afford.

🧠 The City Thinks Faster

• Crime, jobs, and population updates run smarter. The simulation remains brutal, but now it wastes less time doing it.

Microlandia continues to grow into a laboratory of civilization. Each new mechanic exposes what the modern world prefers to forget: that prosperity is fragile, and that equilibrium is a mirage.
