The version on the game currently available for download is a native Windows application. It has been validated as running just fine on the Steamdeck device from Valve thanks to “Proton”, and earlier today a Mac users confirmed that the game also ran just fine using “CrossOver”.

So if you have a compatibility layer such as Wine/Proton/CrossOver installed on your system, Encounter’s launcher and emulator should probably run as well as they did on Windows.

At some point there may be a native Linux or Mac version, but that may take some time.

If some of you decide to give a shot, please don’t hesitate commenting on the experience, including any problem you encountered (pun intended).

La version actuellement disponible pour téléchargement du jeu est une application native Windows. Elle a été validée comme fonctionnant parfaitement sur le Steam Deck de Valve grâce à “Proton”, et plus tôt aujourd’hui, un utilisateur Mac a confirmé que le jeu fonctionnait également parfaitement en utilisant “CrossOver”.

Si vous avez une couche de compatibilité telle que Wine/Proton/CrossOver installée sur votre système, le lanceur et l’émulateur d’Encounter devraient probablement fonctionner aussi bien qu’ils le font sur Windows.

Il se peut qu’une version native Linux ou Mac soit développée, mais cela pourrait prendre un certain temps.
