Critical Security Vulnerability Update

Hello, all!

The Unity team reported that games built with certain versions of Unity, including Don't Split the Party, have a security vulnerability that may pose a risk to players: https://discussions.unity.com/t/unity-platform-protection-take-immediate-action-to-protect-your-games-and-apps/1688031

In response, we've replaced the PC version of Don't Split the Party on our itch page with a hotfix version that address this vulnerability in the short-term and temporarily removed the Mac version. We're currently investigating the possibility of implementing more long-term fixes and will have more information soon.

TAKE ACTION:

If you have a copy of Don't Split the Party on your PC or Mac, please delete it and (if you're using Windows) download the hotfix version instead.

Unity has also advised us to share the following information:

• There is no evidence of any exploitation of the vulnerability, nor has there been any impact on users or customers.
• As best practices, we recommend maintaining current antivirus software, avoiding suspicious downloads, and routinely updating all software.
