Hello fellow immortals,

First things first, I'd like to apologize for the silence. For regular updates you should follow the project  on Patreon where I tend to post progress reports every week or two at the least.

Now, I'd like to chat with you about something important. It seems the haters have "won".  They spend "hate boner" inducing amounts of time spinning yarns and spreading rumors.

And... it worked.

All of my games here on itch . io are blocked from drawing income. Other games (many, many other games) are still able to list their projects and have people purchase them.   Even the ones that don't even come CLOSE to breaking any sort of TOS (not that I do that anyway) are still blocked - case in point - Cursed Hearts.

Sadly, I was using the extra income from this site to build a business, get financing, improve the visuals of my game, and many other things related to making this project a success. 

While I have no proof, I'm fairly sure that those fraudulent reports did have an effect on someone, somewhere. Well done haters.

Well - not really.

The truth is, there's nothing they can do to stop me from working on or completing Heavenly Peaks . That's all up to me, I decide when I'm done. In fact, a second congratulations is in order. What you actually managed to do is piss me off.  Congrats, you got the reaction you wanted. Now I'm going to make EXTRA sure that I follow through just so you eat crow.

That being said, to all of you who purchased the lifetime versions of the game - first thank you. I'll try to update the files here , and if it works, then your problem is solved. If not, then it's something itch will have to deal with.

For everyone else, I'd recommend that you follow the Patreon page, even as a free member. Watching other developers prosper while I'm basically punished has honestly left a bad taste in my mouth.  For those of you who know me, I go out of my way to avoid breaking TOS with all of my works. That's why people tend to think of my work as a bit "vanilla" at times.

As such, it's incredibly disheartening to see people breaking rules left and right while still being able to make income.  As usual, it's only the decent people who get penalized.

But, that's not unexpected. Every day in this life there's more incentive for people to do and be evil than there is to be honorable. In life you will always come across people who seek to wound you because they are amazed that you can withstand the very things they were crushed by.

If you're facing this, I would encourage you also not to fold. To walk on, rest when you need to, and keep going. At the end of that journey is life, love and glory. And because they refuse to move on or grow - they'll be in the same spot you left them.

As for this platform, it's regrettable, but I don't think I can rely on or trust it anymore.  As one of the very few adult game creators who actually work on projects that follow "the rules", this is actually proof that my desire to leave this  line of work was 100% accurate. After all, who likes getting punished for following "the law" while others benefits from working outside of it? It's been a month since I've reached out to them (no response), and I waited nearly 3 months prior to that.  Time for me to move on. 

As for my plans, I'm going to finish what I started. I'd encourage you to follow the Patreon page to keep up with this game's updates. Moving forward, I will no longer be posting updates here.
