Big update this time!
Mr Robot now supports saving to flash memory – this is mainly for Flash Cart owners, but some emulators also support this.
Alas, some emulators really don’t like this option – the Analogue Pocket core being one of them – so if the game crashes on start then you will need to use MRROBOT_NOSAVE.ngp – all other features remain the same, we’ve just disabled access to the flash memory.
Since we’re talking about the Analogue Pocket – Don’t Die Mr Robot is one of the very few games that fully supports the jtngpc core, although you’ll hear a few additional squawks and buzzes that shouldn’t be there.
But that’s not all!
There are now three difficulty levels – Easy, Fair and Hard. Easy is good for learning the ropes, enemies will spawn at a slower pace giving you more time to deal with each wave before the next one appears. Fair is the default difficulty as in the previous releases, and Hard goes as fast as we dare, so you’ll be dodging Spikers from the off.
You can also customise Mr Robot’s appearance – sadly, no hats or dressing up, but you can at least choose his colour.
Lastly, and by no means leastly, we have added high score tables – it would be rude not to take advantage of all that lovely flash memory, so your scores are now kept for posterity – or at least until you foolishly lend your NGPC to a friend
We’ve also fine tuned some of the collisions and fixed a few bugs which will hopefully make Not Dying a bit more fun.
