Hello!
A update with a lot of bug fixes and minor adjustments! Nothing huge, but hope you enjoy it all the same!
V0.6.3 vvv
Added to the win and death screens a score based on a few things along with how many credits were earned during the playthrough, and a credit bonus for winning
Drones were too similar to other ranged weapons so reworked them to be more unique! Drones are spawned, rather than permanent entity, but they are stationary and have their own weapon cooldown
MINOR FIXES vvv
Adjusted font to better readability
Fixed a typo where I misspelt "adrenal booster"
Made sure the sprite updates were across the whole game
Increased the size of the droid boss since it wasn't very large
Made enemies flip depending on the direction they are facing
Added a function to zoom the camera in and out
Ability bar below HP now displays green when ready
Increased diagonal movement speed
Enemies now move through objects and the player so they don't get stuck and can stack
Tightened up some of the hit boxes that were a bit too large
Sniper got overwhelmed early on so added piercing to it to start
All options on level up now have weight to them, so different options have different chances of appearing
The claymore now originates from the player and extends to its intended destination, instead of just appearing
Adjusted the way projectiles move, hopefully increasing accuracy
Reorganized a bunch of the code to futureproof editing some core code and reduce repetition
Volume had a strong dropoff so recalculated how volume changes in relation to the slider
Made the map 1 music the menu music and added a new song for map 1
BUG FIXES vvv
Electromagnet was acting as a player collider and enemies could damage the player with it, fixed that
Some UI and item issues occurred while applying above changes, patched those
RPG damage text was appearing in weird places, adding a base weapon class seemed to fix this
Crates were having issues taking damage from the electromagnetic field, fixed that
Abilities were having issues, including the runner's ability not work. Now working
Weapons were still attacking during death, made sure everything stops during a frozen game state
Above fix also fixed abilities being used during pause as well as weapons still moving and despawning.
Base enemy class broke Map 1 final boss, but I fixed that
KNOWN BUGS AND ODDITIES vvv
Some enemies seem to die quick, plan to increase health for some
Sounds sliders seem to be disconnected from the actual volume levels. Overall sound issues.
Zooming out messes with how enemies spawn, nothing game breaking though
Credits aren't saving properly on game win
Map 2 had an issue with an infinitely dying enemy, giving infinite experience
Map 2 name does not update when scrolling through map select
