Hallowed And Ground Up
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

Indeed, I've been furnishing the interiors of the mansion (aka the starting locale). This is to give some idea of the characters, what do they do and the barebones of their ways.

I know, it has no useability in the gameplay, but I like seeing how the characters live and looking at the small things.

Currently, I'm unsure if I should add quips. You know the ones. Approach and see the character describe things in their way. However, it seems so cliché at this point. Every wacky JRPG has these. And then there are the doubts. To what extent should someone make these observations? Is it a philosophical question or a gameplay question? How to keep such takes fresh to make players have a look at more and more of those? Ah, such raving lunacy and I'm not closer to the answer by any means...

And then there is the matter of "why bother with text and not by the visuals alone"?

But enough of those stupid indagations, let's go with the rest of the things.

So, the mansion is supposed to be a stealth tutorial of sorts. You get used to the movement, the healing items and the battle system, and I am trying to design it so people get introduced one thing at a time until they have the boss, eh, er... Flottle, thing.

Hopefully I get the rooms done and it's all structured (but not done because let's be honest, things happen) in the next week.

See ya!
