Her's a pretty fun update today — I've added proper ice mechanics to the game!
The player now slides on ice with reduced friction.
It takes longer to speed up, slow down, and especially turn around.
Momentum even carries through jumps if you leap off an icy surface — but landing on normal ground instantly cancels the skid so you don’t slide where you shouldn’t.
Added a patch of ice tiles in the test room so you can try the mechanic right away.
Perfect for practicing precision movement (or chaotic skidding 😅).
Expanded the game’s tilesets with new snowy variants.
This opens the door for future ice caves, snowy peaks, and winter-themed stages — not just the slippery ice, but also snowy floors and decor.
In the future, I’m planning to introduce other special floor types too — like muddy ground that slows your movement and restricts jumping, and even a super bouncy floor for chaotic spring-like jumps.
