After some feature suggestions from my colleagues and squashing some minor bugs, the Conservation of Momentum: 1D Collisions Demo tool is ready for the classroom! In keeping with the chalkboard motif of my Newton's 2nd Law Demo, I altered the overall aesthetics of the demo to be that of objects drawn on a blackboard. Other additions include:
Now you can set up a collision problem, pause the action before the collision and have students either qualitative or quantitatively predict the outcome of the collision, unpause the simulation and examine the result.
