v0.37 - EXP System!

EXP system has been added to experimental mode. You can now level up your turtle with the brand new EXP system.

To enable it, you must enable experimental features from the main menu.


All monsters will have a 10% chance to drop experience orbs. Looting them gives your turtle EXP.

The EXP bar displays above your turtle's stats after defeating the sentinel at 100m.

A new stat, EXP% gain, can now be acquired from various sources - companion skills, equipment, and in future, even the home island upgrades shop.

As you level up, you can add growth points (GP) into damage, health, gold or all stats. There may be more stats to level up added in future.

New Skills

3 new skills have been added. For testing purposes, they are free for now but will require companions in the future.

Sentinels and bosses can also be upgraded to give more EXP.


Experimental Mode New Content

  • Turtle can now level up!
  • I have added EXP system to experimental. To test it, enable experimental mode:
  • Experimental Content:
  • Unlock EXP system after 100m sentinel
  • Monsters have a 10% chance to drop EXP orbs
  • Rings/Pendants have a chance to give EXP% line at higher rarities
  • Upon leveling, you gain 1 growth point
  • Add 4 new growth stats
  • Add 3 new EXP-related skills (free for now)
  • EXP and Growth Points will be reset when EXP is officially added
  • Dream island now sells pearls
  • Fix experimental mode not saving (turn it on once after this update to persist)

Improvements:

  • Epic unlock now costs 500 dark matter, Legendary 50k
  • Epic equip chances changed from L8 to L14: 0.2 > 0.4 > 0.6 > 1 > 2 > 3 > 5%
  • Demo now shows 0/30 instead of 0/11 companions
  • First distance objective reduced: 20m -> 10m to encourage dying
  • Add tutorial ring to add Skill Points if SP spent is 0
  • Add tutorial ring to wear equipment during equipment objective
  • Hovering on companion cards now show skill description, rather than just the skill icon
  • SP description now says it can be obtained from hiring companions

Fixes:

  • Dungeon bosses no longer stop area bosses from spawning
  • Fix wrong autocast: OFF message when it should say ON
