...Well, it HAS been a while, hasn't it? In either case, though... I'm sure some of you would like to know what has been happening with the project, and I'm happy to say, there HAS been some productivity, no thanks to the fact I'm well underway with coding in one of the FIRST actual characters in the game, Emerald Woman!
Inspired by Diamond Man's behavior in Dave's Fun Algebra Class: Remastered, Emerald Woman randomly wanders the halls. If she picks a hallway spot, she will guard that area for a while. If you stare at her for a little too much, she will bring it to your attention... Keep going and she will eventually lose her temper and chase you down, at which, when you're caught, you will get randomly teleported and get slowed down for a period of time, where you slowly recover your speed overtime.
Another thing I made was... Well, stuff for the You Can Think Pad. While it IS heavily based on the code from Classic Remastered, the twist is that it's handled entirely differently, where each YCTP variant can have differing toggleable attributes, such as the info about the answer (I.E the numbers, the operator, and the equals stuff), if ANYTHING will be said AT ALL, so on and so forth.
Lastly... Save Files! Which shouldn't come as a shock to you, but... Using "PlayerPrefs" for Save Files in Unity isn't usually the best idea, as it's directly put on your system's registry... Which isn't great, all things considered... So, what I decided to do was... Make a save system, which features its own little file that stores information about that save file in particular (I.E, the Player's sensitivity, window size preferences, name, etc.) This should likely be FAR more efficient than having to use stuff on the registry of your system, all things considered.
I hope you guys are more than ready to see what else is in store for this fan-game's development, toodles, and until next time!
