Today is the release of Rock Soup! the micro-project I madeto distract me from the bigger one I have been stuck on for quite some time: Minesnack.
In many ways, Rock Soup! was meant as a demake of Minesnack, so much so they both shared the same name for most of the development of the former. But in the end it turned into quite a different beast, and so Rock Soup! was born.
While hardly impressive in any regard, I made this game from start to finish while learning the weird little engine that is PICO-8. I even made the SFXs and music: a very first for me. I wouldn't say I am proud of this project, but I am proud I finished it despite everything, proud of learning and persevering this little journey of making games.
This game is dedicated to Cera Luceria, the most courageous person I know, and one of my favourite person in the entire world.
