The NES has some great games and some truly awful games. Even the awful games, however, had some good ideas. With some game mechanic love, they could have been better. This project has two goals: help me continue to learn game design and development while also digging up memories of flops past and reimagining them in the modern era.
Graphics will mostly come from The Spriters Resource or screenshots from the game.
I'm starting with The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle and Friends. It's nearly unplayable, but the bomb throwing mechanic and general motion can be salvaged. I'm reimagining it as a boss battle with Boris.
The project itself will hopefully have a gallery to see different reworked games. Since I'm only doing primary mechanics and mostly one fraction of one area, copyright should not be an issue.
I'm using Godot for this entire project and GDScript to get through as many as I can as quickly as I can!
