Over the last few days Iβve been focusing on quality-of-life features to make the game flow smoother and more comfortable to play. Hereβs whatβs new:
You can now pause the game at any time using ESC.
A fullscreen overlay menu appears with the following buttons:
Resume β continue the game.
Options β placeholder for future settings.
Back to Stage Selection β return to stage select.
Back to Main Menu β go straight to the main menu.
β‘ Important: switching scenes now cleanly aborts the current run, preventing bugs or crashes.
A new UI bar lets you pause, play at normal speed, or speed up the game.
Perfect for testing builds or fast-forwarding through waves.
While paused, you can still build and place towers.
Scene changes (e.g. returning to main menu during an active wave) no longer cause crashes.
Runs can now be aborted safely at any point.
TimeScale and pause states reset correctly whenever switching menus.
Next on my list:
More stages and new towers.
More polish to the UI and feedback effects.
