So… recently I’ve been packing an emergency bag. While throwing gear together, I tossed in my Miyoo Mini handheld. At first it was just a toy, but then I thought: what if my phone was dead or gone, and all I had was this little console? It runs forever on a charge, and it can hold a small app. That’s when I figured I could turn it into a backup survival guide.
Emergency Plan builder: answer some quick questions about your situation (injuries, water, weather, comms, footwear, etc.) and it gives you a simple plan.
Prep section: reminders of things to pack ahead of time, like water tabs, meds, tools, and even morale stuff.
Tools: SOS flash (full-screen), flashlight mode, a step counter, a unit converter, and a Morse trainer with sound.
Guides: short pages on things like the Rule of 3, water safety, signaling, and food caution.
Obviously, I’m not a doctor or survival instructor, and none of this is professional advice. It’s more of an entertainment app — but it still has some info that might get you thinking about your options in a bad situation. Even just having a reminder like “don’t sip tiny rations, ration sweat instead” can help nudge you in the right direction if you’re stressed.
The Miyoo isn’t my main tool. But since it’s already in the bag, it made sense to use it as a redundant backup — something that could give me clear steps even if everything else failed.
