Hello friends
I hope everybody has had a good summer. I have sort of been procrastinating on this update, but guess what? "What's that?" I'm finished. I would like to call it the "Outdoorsman Update" or maybe "Outdoor Chef Update" either one is good. I enjoy the fun names, but I keep it general--the point is that you get the theme.
As you can see in the figure above, there is a campfire as well as some log seats--and yes, you can sit in them.
If the screenshot looks good, its because I added a real screenshot feature now. Screenshots can be taken with F2 and can be recovered in your path at LocalLow/Nicks Games/Chef Survival/Screenshots. The console key has been moved to F12.
Originally, the red tree was just tree. It dropped apples and acorns, which is not realistic! I finally made the long awaited distinction and now there are apple trees. In the screenshot you can see the small round tree with light green leaves. By da way, since were speaking of leaves anyways....
There are some leaves that you can get now. I thought they were fun decorative items to put in a frame... Same was my idea for the Sea Shells.
Birch trees also drop Birch Wood now. Birch Wood can be used to make Birch Wood structures which paint the best since they're almost fully white.
One Birch Wood can be turned into Three regular wood, so if you have a lot of stuff to smelt, head for Birch Trees.
Here is a screenshot of everything that was added in this update.
The Bullwhip is an item that is used to redirect animals around. It is technically a melee weapon that does zero damage.
There are also three new crops that were added.
Cotton is used like wool to make fabric. I thought that fabric was pretty annoying to get exclusively from sheep, so now you can practically grow fabric.
Corn seriously doesn't have a use yet haha. I think I wanna add Popcorn, and maybe cornstarch? Not certain.
Strawberries are used to make Cake
The last food addition was the introduction of White Vinegar. My idea for this was that the Pickle Brine recipe took only water and salt, and that didn't make sense. Now it takes some White Vinegar which is made with Beer.
Let's take a quick detour into some simple tweaks and additions:
Now for the fun additions!
The Shop
The Shop is functional now. Every real-life day that goes by brings in a new set of three deals. You have an account of up to one stack of 1000 Gold Coins in the shop, and you can pull out as many as you have. If you want to buy the item, click on the item. If you want to sell an item, place the item inside the shops empty slots and then click on the coin count associated with it.
Tent & Sleeping Bag
The Tent is a small shelter that can be opened and closed. You are able to place things like chests, beds, and furnaces inside the tent if you so desire. I made the Sleeping Bag with the intentions of pairing the two, and you can put one down in your tent for a complete nomad shelter. It works just like a bed: you can pass night with it and set your spawn point.
Tombstone
The Tombstone works exactly the same as the Sign. Right click on it, type some text, and then press Left Click or Escape or Tab to Quit typing.
Campfire
The Campfire is a new workstation that can be used to roast food. In this screenshot you can also see the Log Seats surrounding it. They share the same behavior as the Chairs so you can sit on them.
Picnic Table and Basket
The Picnic Table is an outdoor decoration and can be clothed with a plaid tablecloth. Another new item is the Picnic Basket. It is a container that changes appearance while holding items.
Bed Remodel!
The bed was remodeled allowing you to color your sheets.
And that is everything that I wanted to share with you guys in this post. Hopefully the game is good if you decide to play!
Have a good day ☺
