Hello Duck Collectors! 🦆
Welcome to the second devlog for Duck Evolution Idle! A lot has happened since the first update, and I’m excited to share what’s new and what’s coming next.
We’ve revamped the Duckdex to feature real-world duck species! No more generic “Common Duck” placeholders — you can now hatch and collect species like:
Mallard
Pekin
Runner Duck
Wood Duck
Mandarin Duck
Muscovy Duck
…and many more, spanning Common, Rare, and Legendary rarities!
Each duck has unique EPS (eggs per second) values, making your strategy a bit more interesting when planning which ducks to hatch or evolve.
We’ve added a full achievement system! You can now unlock milestones like:
Hatch your first duck
Lay 1,000 eggs
Own 50 ducks
Perform your first prestige
Achievements appear as popups when unlocked, and they’re saved between sessions.
EPS now scales slightly with Golden Feathers from prestige.
Hatch and evolve costs adjusted to keep the game challenging but fair.
Rare and Legendary ducks are slightly harder to get, making them feel special.
Offline Progress: Your ducks will lay eggs even when you’re away.
Achievements Panel: A dedicated UI to view all achievements and their progress.
Duck Leveling & Breeding: Give your ducks more depth and strategy.
