This is likely one of the last major demo updates before Early Access in October. Huge thanks to everyone for the feedback and patience — this update focuses on polish, new features, and preparing for the big launch!
Implemented ALL NEW voiced dialogue – characters are now fully voiced in cutscenes.
Updated Jack Tape #1 with new audio.
Updated all enemy idle SFX.
Updated blood shard usage audio SFX.
Adjusted audio beep and box breaking volumes.
Adjusted Diner area music volume.
Adjusted Ron death audio location.
Blood Shards now:
Stack in inventory.
Auto-use on pickup.
Added Blood Texts – vanish once their request is fulfilled.
Implemented new Weapon Laser Sight (usable on Glock & Crossbow).
Added hotkey toggle for the laser sight.
Updated weapon upgrades – now consume existing ammo already in the gun.
Removed crosshair in Modern Mode.
Added Journal system – tracks progress like a quest log and also records item combinations.
Rebaked lighting across maps and areas.
Adjusted lighting on Save Computers.
Updated Diner lighting.
Adjusted several camera angles (inside/outside the Diner).
Updated Gas Station textures to fit the AlTran theme.
Updated newspapers and graphics.
Added Title text.
Updated Save Computer UI + new animations.
Updated Pause Screen UI & adjusted settings menu.
Updated Load Screen UI.
Updated Intro Screen UI and messaging.
Updated Choose Your Path UI with video showcases for each mode.
Updated Jack Tape #1 icon and pickup location.
Updated several action icons.
Added new area along Main St (to view updated Jack Tape #1 + future setup).
Updated Diner Bathroom for future content.
Updated Credits video.
Fully updated Officer John’s death cutscene.
Updated several map icons.
Fixed issue where input didn’t always work properly with dual monitors.
Fixed bug where collider wasn’t detecting in Maintenance Building.
Fixed issue in cutscene where walk animation wouldn’t play correctly.
Updated all references of “AltRan” → “AlTran” for proper pronunciation.
Adjusted enemy locations and counts.
Various QoL improvements & bug fixes.
Expanded localization support for German, French, and Spanish.
Shotgun geo won’t disappear after placing in storage.
In Modern Mode, entering the bus makes your character disappear (intentional workaround for camera issues, but polish still needed).
In Modern Mode, some lights pop in and out at times.
A few text locations still need proper localization/fixes.
Occasionally, some Journal entries do not record correctly.
This update brings together a ton of polish: fully voiced cutscenes, new features like the Journal, and refinements to gameplay, audio, and visuals. It sets the stage for Early Access in October 2025 — where the full experience begins.
