Testing release!
Hello! I'm putting up a testing version of the game to inaugurate the itch.io page, which is still restricted for now. I still have about a week left, which I'm going to use to refine the UX, add more characters and art, add more backgrounds, and fix any issues that pop up.
Things I would like to have done, but didn't get time to do:
- Implement better AI. I really don't know how these games look ahead so an AI can deliberately build matches. Something to research.
- Networked multiplayer. The game would technically support an arbitrary number of boards going at once, but adding socket code, authentication, variable player control, so on was a lot to try and fit into the schedule. If there's any interest in this project after a full release, I'll probably work on that as a priority.
- Story mode. This needs quite a lot of work and design that I just didn't get time for, but I'd like to have some kind of little adventure as a teshari on Sif. Again, if there's interest, I might work on this in the future.
Thanks to everyone on the project Discord who gave me feedback and playtested earlier builds. Really cool to have something more or less 'finished' to post. Cheers!
