One didn't really plan to join a game jam, having had started to get into gamev just around the beginning of the month.
Though, with how quick the idea formed about space pirates and spaceships, one really gotta wonder about the dev's passion for the theme, most probably stemming from the days of yore playing tabletop games of far-away, strange future.
The code itself can be examined by downloading the source file, nothing fancy there - although, not sure for how long the whole theme of sugary sweets is going to be maintained when naming variables. It's probably not that good when cross-examining code - and spending time at the dictionary and online articles about various yummy foods of world around.
Onto the images/concept art next.
This the process of painting the main menu. Featured here are the main character of the game BB Biscuit a yet unnamed daughter of a Pirate lady. Why the flag - not so sure, yet, guess, the classical paintings of 19th century do have that effect.
The ground she is standing on is some moon, let's have it be Phluto, as a mixture of names of our own celestial bodies.
The plan is to have the language options be featured on the ground of the planet, downward perspective style.
Farther in the background, orbiting it should be the planet of Grd, which shall be hopefully explored more in a bit more of a different setting - and well, the main piece of the art is the red SuperHeavy spacefaring Biscuit, of the Cookie class.
It's one of the biggest ships in the existence, 1 and half mile wide and almost a mile long, a size akin to a space station, and with it's bright colour and menacing weaponry, it's also the fastest example of it's class.
It's the only one of it's class.
