Okay so I was thinking of adding cosmetics and seasons. In this post, I will explain the concepts. Remember, these concepts may be changed during development or not even be added at all. Comment which ones I should do, and any changes or more ideas you want!
Seasons would be based off of the real-life season in your area. I may possibly include a setting that lets you choose your own season without depending on the real-life season, when the settings menu is crafted. I would also include a setting that affects only the first setting. This would be if you select it, the season will update automatically, except it starts from that one you selected. This means when its Spring outside, it could be Autumn in-game, and when it’s Winter outside, it could be Spring in-game or something like that.
Seasons would affect how the game looks, and possibly difficulty.
If I were to add an account system, cosmetics would sync between devices. But because that is too much work for this early on, cosmetics can easily be hacked. They are not meant to work as a currency, but instead as a different look when streaming FlappyGrant. I’m also thinking of allowing players to upload cosmetic images themselves to truly craft unique looks. I am more likely to code cosmetics before seasons, because I don’t like the sound of making a settings menu.
Cosmetics may or may not include special abilities. If I do, those abilities will only be available with official cosmetics.
