Post-Jam Update

FRUITLOOP
A browser game made in HTML5

Hi all!

Many thanks to everyone who played, reviewed, streamed, critiqued, or otherwise interacted with our game. It was a fun first venture into game-dev and myself and Megan had a blast!


This "0.0.1.1" update aims to bring the game a bit more in line with our vision when we conceptualised FruitLoop. It's by no means perfect, but it's a step from the original submission! We plan to do one more update to add a couple requested features, but then we shall call it a day!


Update 0.0.1.1 Change-Log:

  • New Name (removing the umlaut).
  • Adjusted hitboxes and collisions to be a little fairer (still a bit janky, but much better).
  • Added input-buffering.
  • Adjusted the tutorial for a better explanation of controls.
  • UI Improvements: there's now a wheel to show your current round and position on the rotation.
  • Overhauled most of the level-segments and created many more, also rejigged the segment-ordering to be a little more cohesive.
  • Added in the Orange-Character that we accidentally left out.
  • Added "Seal-Mode" and "Cashew-Mode" (if you know, you know).
  • Audio changes, so that the music kicks in earlier.
  • Various other bug fixes and such.


We plan to add a character-unlock system, more levels, and a little more polish, but other than that, I think we're done here!

Shall also be adding in a Jam-Post-Mortem soon!
