I realised that my machines wasn't even blinking at 35,000 particles so I tried 2 million and it broke down in tears.
However - 1 million seemed to work. I also increased the initial spread - which looks cooler in some ways but not in others. I think I need to add in some presets and allow people to tweak settings.
