Version 1.1.0

Lazy River Rally
A browser game made in HTML5

Version 1.1.0 is out now!

Featuring a visual overhaul, many settings and QOL features and a bunch of suggestions from commentors - thank you to everyone who played and gave feedback :)

  • Press and hold for grapple
    • The most requested feature from the jam, the control scheme now defaults to press and hold in order to grab anchor points, and release to slingshot
    • Can be switched back to toggle mode via the controls menu
  • Increase range of anchor points
  • Fixed wall bounce physics
  • Instant restarts
    • Restarting the map is now dramatically faster than in the jam build
  • Fancy new water shader
    • This looks better on Windows and Linux due to a bug in Godot's compatibility rendering, but is available via the web build too
    • Can be toggled off for the classic blue look if preferred
  • Float selection
    • Pool floats can be chosen via the character customisation screen
  • Audio menu
    • Allows for independant toggling of music and sfx levels
  • Save settings
    • Settings, including character customisation, are preserved between runs (browser cookies must be enabled for the web build)
  • Various bug fixes and minor aesthetic tweaks

Please let me know if you encounter any bugs, and I hope you enjoy racing in the Lazy River Rally!
