Version 0.6.3 - Crafting Rework

Ascend from Nine Mountains
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

I'm back! Finally ready to go, this release brings with it a major rework to crafting and a whole host of changes beside it.

Features

  • Crafting now only ends when stability reaches 0.
  • Added a new concept, 'max stability', that decreases by 1 each action.
  • Both completion and perfection now roll at the end to see if the craft succeeds.
  • Reworked crafting conditions. You can now see multiple conditions in the future, and they follow a more predictable pattern.
  • Sublime crafting is now a new type of crafting, with new mechanics for each type of recipe. You can unlock this by following the quest from the Forge Spirit.
  • A new stat 'harmony' has been introduced for sublime crafting, that controls how beneficial conditions are.
  • Equipment items can now be crafted with 'quality', with each tier of quality increasing all the item stats by 10%. Quality can only be added when doing sublime crafting.
  • Stack based items gain bonus stacks instead of quality, allowing for far greater returns for an expert crafter.
  • Crafting actions can now be mastered.
  • All reagents have been reworked to be more impactful.
  • Craft skill now has diminishing returns, but provides more crafting loadout slots for each 250 you gain.
  • Instant craft now unlocks after a single craft. It also stores the best perfection result you achieved and uses it when crafting.
  • A lot more cauldron recipes have been added to all realms.
  • Added a lot more crafting actions to a variety of locations.
  • Rebalanced all the existing crafting actions.
  • Removes sublime tiers from recipes that only increased the stacks rewarded.

Changes

  • Replaced the save system to one that should scale better with auto-clickers.
  • You can now ask Pi Lip and Lingxi Gian to stop asking you for things.
  • You can now hold ctrl to instant buy the max of an item.
  • Improved crafting log readability.
  • Tooltips in the crafting screen are now auto-collapsed, but can be expanded by holding ctrl.
  • You can now scroll any list of tabs with the scroll wheel.
  • You can now pin recipes, to make them easier to access.
  • Made item sorting in shops consistent with other locations.
  • The shadow cloak quest has been extended slightly.
  • Sect missions now overlap with the previous realm when breaking through, so you don't have a sudden cut off.
  • Recipe screen start crafting no longer has a keybinding to avoid it clashing with search.
  • Shugou Chasm now offers the option to skip 10 floors at a time.
  • The Shugou Chasm debuff is now harder.
  • Tweaked tutorials to give the player a better new game experience.
  • Added meditate to max qi button.
  • Pillar Fragments are no longer auto-sold.
  • Added wait to next month button to calendar.
  • Consumable pills now show preview of the max consumption.
  • Added an import save button.
  • Made the Fist and Blossom ancestors normal enemies instead of map events, to make the Body Forging experience smoother.
  • Tweaked icons for PC soil conditions.
  • Reagants are now their own item type.
  • Made dissolving concoction cheaper to craft.
  • The victory dialog now shows the combat title.
  • Eon Glass now sells for more.

  • Buffed the relic keys to only drop Tier V and VI items.
  • Allowed delivering more inheritance shards to get multiple keys.
  • Increased Burning Blood drop rate.
  • Separated Item Effectiveness from Toxicity in the stats screen.

Balance Changes

  • Spinning Kick now only stacks up to 8 times.
  • Dual/Origin techniques now use the maximum affinity of their constituent parts, instead of the average.
  • Neutral techniques now scale with the player realm, keeping them relevant as the game progresses. Nerfed their base values to take this new scaling into account.
  • All buffs no longer scale off affinity, removing the exponential power they were giving.
  • Make enemies in higher realms slightly harder.
  • Buffed defense enchantments.
  • Chance buff masteries now scale over 100%, giving a chance for two stacks.
