I've been wanting to circle back to Mythiria and it's cousin Rough Destiny for a while now. I really like the simplicity and flexibility of these games and enjoy playing them solo. While not strictly solo games, the mechanics make them well suited for solo play.
This is a pretty big release which clears up some things and adds some pretty useful solo tools to the game.
I really like the narrative wounds system in these games. Minor wounds turn into severe wounds and eventually get the characters into the trouble zone. One thing I personally struggled with is coming up with good narrative wounds other than just "Scratch", "Gash", etc. I added a table to the wounds section that you can roll on to quickly find a wound location and a description. It speeds things up by moving the decision making to the dice.
The healing rules were pretty vague as with most rules-lite games. With the changes, I found myself getting more space on the pages, so I decided to explain how I use healing tests (magical healing, etc.) to heal. I also expanded to explain how frequently healing tests can be performed on a character.
I added a page which provides a simple game loop for playing solo. Veteran soloists will likely skip this as they have an established process they follow. Those new to solo play may find it helpful.
This is where most of the changes are located. The previous version had a simple yes/no oracle and some adjective, action, theme tables for helping with solo sessions. I've expanded the tools quite a bit to help take some of the GM duty away from you allowing you to focus more on the PCs.
