Why Your Antivirus Might Flag This Application

Our application is safe to use, but in rare cases some antivirus programs may mistakenly detect it as suspicious or potentially harmful software. 

This can happen because: 

Background Downloading – The application downloads updates and additional files from the internet in the background, using a separate thread, while you continue using the launcher. 

Unsigned Code – The downloaded files are not yet digitally signed with a trusted code signing certificate.
Some security systems treat unsigned executables as unverified. 

Behavior Similar to Malware – From a purely technical standpoint, certain legitimate operations we perform (downloading executables, writing them to disk, and running them) can resemble the behavior of malicious software such as trojans or loaders. 

Heuristic Detection – Modern antivirus software doesn’t only rely on virus signatures; it analyzes program behavior. Even safe applications can be flagged if their actions match patterns associated with malware.


If your antivirus flags the application, you can usually resolve the issue by adding the launcher to your antivirus exceptions list, or by temporarily allowing the action after confirming it is from our official source.

You can check our files via Virus Total and will see that it gets all requests from github and/or from google docs. It downloads: fcav_remix.dll which is basic launcher core from auto-updater system, which at same time downloads the FCAV mod itself.
