Midgard Update! Reaching below the belt
Due to a successfull audition at Reykjavik's Midgard this year, we have pushed out a celebratory update for the demo version, providing some small quality-of-life changes players would experience on the event.
- Downed status revamp
- Certain attacks now can hit a downed enemy to keep them from raising up, knocking them a bit further than they would usually do
- You can now choose the way to get up
- Pressing up picks the character up like it used to be previously
- Pressing back dashes the character backwards. This is useful against short range attacks that would hit the downed character
- Pressing front dashes the character forwards. Can be used to shorten the distance from lying position, but is especially useful when cornered - when pressed close enough to the enemy, character dashes around them, positioning themselves on their other side
- Characters that attacked appear on the front of the opponent, to increase the visibility of an attack
- Small change to visual representation of hit effects
