In terms of pre-production, we capped that off last semester.
At the start of this semester, our team was confidently able to jump right back into developing the game. All of our team members began adding to our proof of concept from last semester, and getting ready to conduct our first playtest.
I'm not sure why the first playtest is happening so early in this semester. It seems like we're encouraged to take the first two weeks for pre-production, but if we did that, we'd have barely any time to get a playtest build ready. I'm glad that isn't as big of an issue for our team, since we were able to jump back into it quickly, but I am concerned for other teams that aren't ready to keep developing right away.
Overall, I'm happy to get more work done. I feel motivated, especially after I was able to import my dialogue system cleanly into our project, and give NPCs their own dialogue conversations.
